We start a new group of nutrition coaching on the 1st and 15th of each month. As soon as you have locked in your spot, we will send you a questionnaire to fill out. This will give us a better idea of where you currently are at.
We offer our clients accountability coaching, resources, and information before getting started on the 1st or the 15th. We’ll be in contact with you before then as well. We like to start everyone on relatively the same date each time for added community and accountability.
Yes. There is a 3 month minimum commitment. We don’t feel as if we can truly create positive change for someone in less than 12 weeks. It’s not a quick fix. It takes time to cultivate a better healthier self. We’re here to ensure you do that.
You may continue being a Better Self member as long as you would like, we also offer 6 and 12 month plans. The price per month goes down, the longer the plan.
We offer individualized nutrition coaching. We don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. We know based on scientific evidence and meta-analysis that there is no single method of eating that works for every individual. We believe that a client's preferences, time constraints, and lifestyles should play a role in deciding what the best strategy for eating is.
We work with our clients on a purely individual basis. As a coach, we’re here to help you overcome any obstacles that stand in the way of your desired outcomes.
As quickly as humanly possible.
We check in with our clients at least 3 times per week. However, we allow our clients full access to us. Phone, text, email, Skype, etc. However you would like to communicate with us, we will accommodate.
Think of us as your coach-on-the-go. You can reach out to us anytime with any questions you have. We will get back with you as soon as possible.

Everyone does. We recognize and acknowledge that in our approach. We will work with you to find a healthier strategy of eating that is not only enjoyable but also realistic. No starvation approaches, and no set in stone meal plans. We’re going to teach you how to get your desired outcome while also enjoying the foods you love.
We maintain a flexible eating approach. We are proponents of using a macro-based strategy when teaching our clients how to incorporate healthier eating choices.
Not necessarily.
We don’t require our clients to track their every bite of food. You certainly can do that, and it’s relatively simple when using apps like MyFitnessPal. But, if you’d rather not track your food, you can still have amazing results by implementing healthier habits and food choices.
At Better Self, we're big fans of living a physically active life. There are a myriad of benefits associated with getting regular strength training, and other forms of cardiovascular exercise.
We encourage all of our clients to participate in some type of physical activity. But it is not a requirement. You can lose weight safely and sustainably using only dietary interventions.
No. You shouldn’t be.
We don’t prescribe meal plans that heavily restrict caloric intake. We may recommend a slight calorie deficit if fat loss is the goal, but it will be a modest one. We are going to show you how to feel fuller longer, have more energy, eat more food, and fuel your life in a way that makes sense for you, and helps you live the best life possible.

We’re going to be providing you with a plethora of resources regarding making healthier eating decisions. We’re going to give you an in depth look at macronutrients, and micronutrients, and the role they play in our diets. We’re going to give you resources regarding meal preparation with recipes attached. We’re also going to show you how food fuels your life and how you can use food to fuel your life in a way that allows you to become a happier, healthier, and more productive human being.
Simple. Because working out is only one piece of the puzzle. We all know that you can’t “out-train” a bad diet. Anyone who attempts to do so is setting themselves up for frustration and disappointment. Nutrition is a significantly huge piece of the puzzle, and we’re here to help guide you in reaching your goals.
Being accountable to a coach is very powerful. Just like being regimented in the gym, you must also be regimented in the kitchen, and having a nutrition coach can be a tremendous help.
Yes, absolutely. You can get lean with our methods and practices. You’ll also want to be participating in some form of strength and resistance protocol if your goal is to get shredded.
Every time we work with someone, we tailor our approach on an individual basis. Everyone is different and therefore everyone needs a different plan. We are never going to give out a generic one-size-fits-all plan because it doesn’t exist.
